About us

Connecting municipalities and partners across borders.

Mayors of Slovakia is a non-governmental organization focused on cross-border cooperation of municipalities, public administration, experts and entrepreneurs.

Our mission

Our mission

We want cross-border cooperation not to end with formal meetings. We create conditions for project concepts, joint teams, pilot solutions and long-term partnerships.

Who we are

We work mainly between Slovakia, Czechia and Ukraine, and also develop cooperation with other partners in Central Europe. Our goal is to turn international contacts into concrete partnerships and projects with practical benefit for cities, municipalities, regions and their residents.

We focus on areas where we can connect municipal needs with partners' expertise and experience: cross-border projects, education, public administration, digitization, artificial intelligence, better public services and business cooperation.

Our principles

  • a concrete goal and practical result,
  • equal standing of partners,
  • clear roles and transparent rules,
  • expertise and respect for territorial needs,
  • compliance with legislation and the rules of each programme,
  • solutions that can be verified and further developed.

Central European and Slavic cooperation

Slovakia, Czechia and Ukraine share geographic closeness, related cultural environments and long-standing people-to-people and economic ties. We use this closeness as a practical advantage when building trust, exchanging experience and preparing joint projects. We approach cooperation factually, openly and within the European value and programme framework.
