We are a non-governmental organization supporting international cooperation and the development of local governments.

About Us

Mayors of Slovakia (Slovak-Czech Mayors' Alliance) is a non-governmental organization that connects municipalities, experts, and partners from Slovakia, Czechia, and Ukraine.

Its ambition is that cooperation between municipalities does not end with formal meetings, but brings concrete opportunities – new contacts, meaningful projects, funding, testing solutions in practice, and measurable improvements in public services.

It was created from the conviction that cities and municipalities are currently facing similar challenges: pressure on budgets, the need to modernize services, increase resilience to crises, work with data and technologies, and at the same time maintain community life and quality of life in their territories. That is why it is building a stable cooperation network based on trust, sharing of experience, and long-term partnerships with practical impact.

The Slovak-Czech area has natural ties – similar competences of local governments, a shared history and compatible experience. Ukraine enters this cooperation mainly through municipal partnerships, recovery and resilience building – wherever it makes sense to combine solidarity with a systemic approach, know-how and project management.

Open to cooperation with:

  • cities and municipalities that want to address their priorities systematically and in cooperation,

  • expert and institutional partners (academia, think tanks, non-governmental organizations),

  • companies and investors who want to cooperate fairly and professionally with local governments,

  • international partners who want to engage in cooperation in the region.
